Amalfi was beautiful and so much fun. If you’re taking a day trip, we recommend getting there early to enjoy the town before the crowds roll in during the middle of the day. We loved it most in the morning and at night because it was less crowded. We opted to stay in Ravello because it was a bit more romantic and relaxing. Whatever you do, don’t leave Amlafi without trying all things lemon and the delicious seafood. Anyway, here are are recommendations if you’re planning a trip to Amalfi.
recommended that we stay longer than just a daytrip if possible which was great advice. There’s so much to explore and I think it’s one of those places that just gets better the longer you’re there. Whatever you do, don’t miss Positano while you’re in Italy. It’s magical and there’s truly nothing like it! It was one of our favorite places that we’ve ever been to and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. The food is delicious, the beaches/beach clubs are incredible, and we can’t wait to go back. It has the perfect mix of beauty, romance, relaxation, and fun.
We LOVED Cinque Terre and if you can fit it into your travel plans, we’d highly recommend it! 2 days or more would be ideal but if you can only swing a day-trip based on timing, DO IT and utilize the boat tour to maximize what you’re able to efficiently see. It’s such a unique place and provided a totally different aspect to the trip. It’s lush, scenic, and relaxed. We’re also huge pesto fans so it was really cool to explore the region it originated in!
