It’s warm, sweet yet tart, ridiculously delicious, and perfect for fall. I especially love sharing this with friends and family during the holidays. If you want to sub out the apples for something else, you can use almost any fruit! Pears, berries, or whatever you else you may want will go great with this. How To Make A Spiced Apple Crumble

Ingredients – For The Mixture
- 6 to 8 apples
- 1½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
Ingredients – For The Crumble
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Step-By-Step Recipe Method – Spiced Apple Crumble
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and and grease a 9” x 12” baking dish.
- Peel the apples and slice them into ¼” pieces.
- Place the apples into large mixing bowl. Add sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla bean paste and lemon juice. Toss until the apples are thoroughly coated and add them to the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate mixing bowl combine the brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon, salt and melted butter. Mix it together until crumbles form and pour it overtop of the apple filling.
- Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apple filling is tender. Be sure to serve with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and enjoy!
