If there’s one dish you have to make this weekend, it’s Everyone’s Favorite Pasta Salad! Our family has been making this delicious recipe for years and it’s SO easy! It’s also flavorful, crunchy, crisp and colorful. The PERFECT dish for entertaining and it’s a hit at every party. Not to mention, it holds up great in the fridge. We always love having it on hand and the leftovers only get better.
How To Make Everyone’s Favorite Pasta Salad

Ingredients For The Pasta Salad
- 1 pack fusilli pasta
- 1/2 can garbanzo beans (whole can if you prefer)
- 1/2 cup cilantro chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
- 1 cup cucumbers, quartered and sliced
- 1/2 cup red onion diced
- 1/2 cup celery diced
- 1/2 cup to 1 cup bell peppers diced (any or all colors)
- 1/2 cup cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, cubed
- 1/2 cup Asiago, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, finely grated
- 1/2 – 1 cup salami, cubed
- Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
Ingredients For The Dressing
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 6 tablespoons red wine vinegar OR white wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste (season generously)
- Pinch of sugar
Note
If you prefer, you can use a drizzle of your favorite Italian salad dressing (anything you love most will work well in this)!
Step-By-Step Recipe Method
- Cook your pasta, then drain and drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- In a large mixing bowl, add all dressing ingredients and whisk until emulsified.
- Add the garbanzo beans, cilantro, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, celery, bell peppers, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Asiago and salami. Thoroughly combine and serve chilled!
Tips
- Make sure your pasta is pretty al dente as it will hold up much better!
- Season the pasta before adding the rest of the ingredients for extra flavor and adjust by tasting throughout.
