How To Make My Holiday Brown Sugar Pecan Baked Brie

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh squeezed orange juice (from about ½ medium orange)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Orange zest for garnish
  • Fresh thyme for garnish (from about 5 sprigs)

Step-By-Step Recipe Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake brie for 18-20 minutes or until the top is soft and the interior is gooey.
  2. Over medium heat, add pecans to a nonstick skillet and toast until fragrant (2-3 minutes).
  3. Add the butter, cranberries, fresh squeezed orange juice, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes until slightly thickened. Reduce heat to low, add honey and stir to combine. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Once the brie is ready, remove the top rind and pour the warm cranberry pecan mixture overtop. Finish with orange zest, fresh thyme and flaky sea salt.
  5. Serve with crackers or toasted baguette and a glass of wine – enjoy!
