I got a ton of questions about what I packed for Italy, so I’m sharing my full packing list. From the essentials to tech, beauty, and what’s in my carry-on, here are the must-have items everyone should pack when traveling internationally.
What I Packed For Italy
ESSENTIALS
- Suitcase
- Carry-on
- Mini travel steamer – really comes in handy!
- N95 of KN95 masks
- Wallet *with euros on you*
- Passport & docs
- Crossbody (turn this around to make it harder to get into)
- Mosquito repellent this & this
IN MY CARRY-ON
A few essentials in my carry-on (just in case luggage gets lost I bring anything valuable + a change of clothes with me)
Vitamins/Supplements (I brought everything because what’s worse than being sick on vacation?)
- Seed Synbiotic – The Probiotic + Prebiotic that both Andrew and I take and LOVE – we never skip a day and it helped us so much especially when traveling. USE CODE ERIN15 for 15% off your first month!
- I brought Beekeeper’s Naturals Propois Throat Spray, Cymbiotika’s liposomal Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Vitamin D, Magnesium L-Threonate
- Any in case of emergency medications (OTC/prescription)
BEAUTY
- Hair dryer
- Curling iron
- Straightening iron
- Shampoo & conditioner
- Face sunscreen
- Body sunscreen (also gives the best glow!)
- Skincare essentials
- Portable makeup mirror w/light (helps a ton!)
FASHION
- Comfy PJ’s
- Comfy & practical walking shoes (saved me with all of the walking!)
- Jacket (I always bring a couple warm clothing options even in the summertime. Some regions in the beginning of May when we went got a little windy/chilly from time to time. I recommend wearing anything bulky on the plane because it’s always freezing anyway!)
- Sunglasses these & these
- Sandals
- Heels *note – don’t even try to do much walking in heels unless you want to twist an ankle, BUT if you want to bring them for certain dinners/occasions just walk over in sandals and bring them with you in a small bag/tote. A woman in Capri saw me do this and said it’s actually what most locals there do. Some even hide their sandals in bushes and grab them after dining/going out*
- Jacket (I always bring a couple warm clothing options even in the summertime. Some regions in the beginning of May when we went got a little windy/chilly from time to time. I recommend wearing anything bulky on the plane because it’s always freezing anyway!)
TECHNOLOGY
- Phone chargers (I bring an extra)
- Computer charger
- Portable charger
- European travel plug adapter
- European travel adapter/power converter (good for straightening and curling iron but NOT hair dryer)
- European travel adapter/power converter (good for all hair tools)
- Portable tripod
