Make-Ahead Cranberry Orange French Toast Casserole

If you’re looking for the easiest and most delicious breakfast for Sunday morning, this make-ahead cranberry orange French toast casserole is your answer! I LOVE that it requires nothing but baking the day-of. All you have to do is combine your ingredients, transfer to a baking dish and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Dig in and enjoy!

What You'll Need:

+ 1 loaf French bread

+ 6 large eggs

+ 1 1/2 cups milk

+ 3/4 cup heavy cream

+ 3/4 cup brown sugar

+ Zest of 2 oranges

+ 1 cup dried cranberries

+ 1 tbsp. vanilla extract

+ 1 tsp. cinnamon

+ 1/2 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg

Optional: Cream Cheese “Filling”
(I like to serve this on the side)

+ 8 oz. cream cheese

+ 1/2 cup powdered sugar

+ splash of vanilla extract

Steps:

1. Butter/grease casserole dish (mine is 9”x13”).

2. Cut bread into 1”-2” pieces. In a large mixing bowl add eggs, brown sugar, milk, cream, vanilla extract, spices, salt, and orange zest. Whisk until combined.

3. Add bread cubes and dried cranberries – toss to coat. Refrigerate overnight.

4. The next morning, bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
