Make-Ahead Cranberry Orange French Toast Casserole

If you’re looking for the easiest and most delicious breakfast for Sunday morning, this make-ahead cranberry orange French toast casserole is your answer! I LOVE that it requires nothing but baking the day-of. All you have to do is combine your ingredients, transfer to a baking dish and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Dig in and enjoy!

How To: Make-Ahead Cranberry Orange French Toast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • Zest of 2 oranges
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

Ingredients – Optional Cream Cheese “Filling” (I like to serve this on the side)

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Splash of vanilla extract

Step-By-Step Recipe Method

  1. Grease a 9″ x 13″ casserole dish with butter.
  2. Cut bread into 1” to 2” cubes. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and orange zest.
  3. Add bread cubes and dried cranberries to the mixture, then toss to coat. Refrigerate overnight.
  4. When ready to bake, remove for the refrigerator and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

What You'll Need:
