Best Spiced Peach Crumble

this quick and easy dessert recipe is the best spiced peach crumble to make and it's so delicious

Peach season never ends in my kitchen without making the Best Spiced Peach Crumble. It’s one of those desserts that looks impressive but takes almost no effort. Just slice your peaches, toss them with a the spices, and place your buttery crumble overtop. Then just pop it in the oven until golden and crispy, and enjoy with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream!

What makes this crumble recipe so good is how balanced it is. The peaches are the star of the show, but they’re not overly sweet. The spices give this dessert a warm and cozy feel. It’s perfect any night of the week, or even while entertaining (you can easily make it ahead of time!). And if you serve it with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, I promise you’ll understand why I call it the Best Spiced Peach Crumble.

Recipe – Serves 8

Ingredients – For the Peach Mixture

  • 6 large peaches, sliced
  • Zest of 1/2 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
  • Paste of 1/2 vanilla bean
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Ingredients – For the Crumble

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Step-By-Step Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. For the Peach Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, add peaches, lemon zest, lemon juice, sugar, pumpkin spice, cardamom, vanilla bean paste, and vanilla bean extract. Mix until well combined and set aside.
  3. For the Crumble: In a separate mixing bowl, add flour, oats, brown sugar, butter, pumpkin spice, and salt, then mix together. Make sure to leave the larger chunks and not break them up too much.
  4. To Assemble: Add the peach mixture in an even layer to a 9″ x 11″ baking dish. Sprinkle the crumble on top of the peach mixture in an even layer. Bake for approximately 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. I personally like to broil it for an additional 2 to 3 minutes to get the crumble extra crispy. Serve it with vanilla bean ice cream and enjoy the best spiced peach crumble!
