Citrus Lavender Gin Fizz

If you’re looking for a fun, vibrant, and refreshing cocktail, this Citrus Lavender Gin Fizz recipe has you covered! I used Empress 1908 Gin which is hand-crafted from Victoria Distillers in British Columbia, Canada. It’s inspired by the renowned tea and cocktail programs of the iconic Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria. It infuses eight botanicals including butterfly pea blossoms, which gives it subtle earthy notes and an all-natural indigo hue. It’s the PERFECT base for any amazing cocktail! Cheers

What You'll Need:

+ 2.5 oz. Empress 1908 Gin

+ 3 oz. Grapefruit Juice

+ 1 oz. Lemon Juice

+ 1 oz. Lavender Simple Syrup

+ Splash of Tonic Water

+ Garnish with Grapefruit Slice and Lavender Sprig

Steps:

1. To make the lavender simple syrup, add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 3 tbsp. dried lavender flowers to a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer for 1-2 minutes then remove from heat and set aside for approximately 20 minutes. Strain the simple syrup and place it in the fridge until cooled and ready to use.

2. Combine grapefruit juice, lemon juice, and lavender simple syrup into a shaker with ice.

3. Shake until frosty and pour into a glass over ice.

4. Layer the gin into the glass and top with tonic water.
