Mama Gina’s Magic Cookie Bars

Stop what you’re doing right now and make these simple & decadent Magic Cookie Bars! My mother in law, Gina, makes these every year for the holidays and they’re always a huge hit! So much so that my grandma tried to sneak a few home with her last time we spent thanksgiving together. They’re chewy, gooey and have the perfect amount of crunch. I also love that they’re the perfect balance of sweet from the graham cracker and coconut and tart with the dried cherries and a pinch of salt. My favorite part may be that they only require one baking dish! Doesn’t get any easier than that, so what are you waiting for!? Make these for anyone and they’ll love you forever – enjoy!

What You'll Need:

+ 1/2 cup Butter

+ 1 1/2 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs

+ 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

+ 14 oz. can Sweetened Condensed Milk

+ 1 1/2 cup Sweetened Coconut Flakes

+ 1 cup Walnuts or Pecans, chopped

+ Pinch of Sea Salt


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Grease baking dish with butter.

3. Pour melted butter into a 13×9 in. baking dish, then sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter.

4. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumbs.

5. Top with remaining ingredients (layer 3/4 of the chocolate chips, dried cherries, walnuts, 1/2 of the coconut flakes, then the remaining chocolate chips and coconut flakes).

6. Press down firmly and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Chill and enjoy!
