The Best Turkey Meatballs

These are the BEST turkey meatballs! Last week my mom brought over the juiciest, most flavorful meatballs I’ve ever tasted. I knew I had to make them with her to figure out the recipe and share it with you! They’re tender, flavorful, and so delicious. Not to mention they’re done in just thirty minutes. Perfect with pasta or served with a side of bread for dipping. Here’s a reel showing exactly how I made them – you’ve got to try them! Hope you love them as much as we do!

What You'll Need:

+ 1 lb 93% lean ground turkey

+ 2 slices Dave’s White Bread Done Right, crumbled/torn (approximately 1 cup)

+ 1/2 cup milk

+ 1/2 cup Parmigiano Reggiano, freshly grated

+ 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely diced

+ 1/2 tsp garlic salt

+ 1/2 tsp garlic powder

+ Pepper to taste

+ 2 tbsp. EVOO (enough to coat pan for sealing the meatballs)

Steps:

1. In a large mixing bowl, add bread and cover with milk. Gently press so that the bread absorbs the milk.

2. Add ground turkey, seasonings, parmigiano reggiano, fresh parsley, and gently mix to comine. Be careful to not overmix.

3. Form large meatballs and set aside.

4. Heat olive oil over medium heat and brown meatballs on both sides.

5. Add into homemade marinara sauce that is cooked beforehand (with drippings) OR add a jarred sauce into the skillet.

6. Make sure meatballs are submerged and bring to a boil. Cover with lid and lower to a low simmer. Cook covered for approximately 15-20 minutes.

7. Serve with pasta, in a sub, or on their own with a side of bread for dipping. Top with additional freshly grated parmesan and enjoy!
